Job Description: Operations Manager – LD Children’s Homes
Location: Huddersfield, Leek, Newcastle-under-Lyme
Salary: £60,000 + £10,000 bonus package (non-negotiable)

The Role:
As the Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful operation of these homes, ensuring high standards of care, compliance, and performance. You’ll be responsible for leading a team of managers and staff to deliver quality services that meet the needs of the children and exceed regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management of four LD children’s homes, ensuring they operate effectively and meet organisational goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and support Home Managers to achieve high standards of care and operational excellence.
  • Ensure all homes comply with Ofsted regulations and maintain high inspection ratings.
  • Drive continuous improvement by implementing best practices and fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Manage budgets and resources efficiently to deliver quality services within financial parameters.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including families, local authorities, and regulatory bodies.
  • Develop strategies for staff recruitment, retention, and professional development.

About You:
To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in an operational management role within children’s residential care or a similar setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and experience in ensuring compliance.
  • A leadership style that inspires, motivates, and drives positive outcomes.
  • Excellent organisational and decision-making skills.
  • A passion for making a difference in the lives of children with learning disabilities.
  • Relevant qualifications in health and social care, or equivalent experience.
